Peruvian Point Woven Jewelry
Evelyn Villegas
(860) 405-4768
cuniasus@hotmail.com       evevi26@hotmail.com
I would like to showcase the style of jewelry I enjoy creating, the Peruvian
Weave style. In Peru we have always had great teachers of this technique,
because it is an unchanged style that has been passed on from generation to
generation for many centuries. It is similar to crochet. It was developed in
Spain and Portugal but quickly taken to the Americas by the conquistadors (the
Europeans who came to colonize). This technique was perfected in the cities
of Huamanga, Ayacucho, and Huancayo Peru, where we adopted it and turned
it into our own to make the beautiful jewelry that we sell, recognized as one of
the finest jewelry styles in the world!

are organic architechtonic creations of my imagination. I paint with acrylic on
canvas and wood. Occasionally I use gouache, inks, markers and pencils. I
sell original pieces as well as archival inkjet prints. I design jewelry using my
own technique I've been developing over the years. I form hot glue into
pendants/earrings - I use a vast array of additional materials.
