Lyndsay is a full time working potter and instructor who is passionate about sharing her love for the medium
with others. Lyndsay discovered her passion for clay the moment she sat down at a potter’s wheel more than a
decade ago. She honed her clay skills through teaching at children’s summer camps, attending workshops
and persistent practice. In 2002 she established Meiklem Kiln Works, which began as a small pottery studio
that offered clay classes to the public. In September 2006 Meiklem Kiln Works moved to Bozrah, CT and
nearly tripled in size. January 2010 marked yet another expansion and Centerspace Wellness Studio now
functions alongside the art studio.
Lyndsay's other passion is yoga which she has been practicing for more than a decade. She has explored
various styles from Bikram to Kundalini and practiced with a wide range of master instructors at several Yoga
Journal Conferences over the years. Yoga has become an integral part of Lyndsay’s life, not only as a tool for
stress relief, but for actively staying fit and flexible. As a teenager Lyndsay was diagnosed with scoliosis
(curvature of the spine) and yoga has become a mainstay for pain management and self care. Shiva Rea’s
Prana Flow ®Energetic Vinyasa most closely aligns with Lyndsay’s desire for a creative and flowing approach
to yoga. Lyndsay completed her 200/hr Teacher Training with Coral Brown 500eRYT and senior teacher
trainer for Shiva Rea. Lyndsay became a yoga for scoliosis trainer through Elise Browning Miller’s Yoga for
Scoliosis Program in February of 2012. She recently completed the first level of Thai Yoga Bodywork
certification and will complete her 500hr yoga certification in April of 2012.
Although she credits her parents with instilling in her an incredible self-motivation and confidence that has
enabled her to pursue her dreams, Lyndsay relies heavily on the motto “Conceive, Believe, Receive” which is
a key ingredient to a happy life.
